  •     The cases and bags industry of Yiwu market is mainly located on the first and fourth floors in District II of International Trade Mart. There are more than 1,919 booths and over 2,268 operators, who are primarily engaged in the trading of fashion bags, casual bags, briefcases, schoolbags, luggage, suitcases and cosmetics cases. Now there are brands like Disney, Minions, Laorentou, Goldenlion and many other national and international famous brands in the market. Over 75% of the products are exported to the Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa and other countries and regions in the world.
        In March, the cases and bags industry started its peak season with the sales rising slowly. Exports of students' schoolbags to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South America and other places have increased. New types of cosmetic bags have been put on the shelves, such as cosmetic bags made of 3D laser, waterproof PU, PVC and other materials, and cosmetic bags with patterns of small freshness, coconut wind, letters, fleshy plants and classic black and white checks. Among them, a transparent printed newspaper pattern has become the hot-seller recently. With the warming weather, the sales of all kinds of bags, cosmetics bags and luggage storage bags made of waterproof material and new pattern printed have increased. The sales of large-capacity handbags and double-shoulder bags have also shown good performance.
        With the rising cost, operators seek diversified sales channels. Since the beginning of the year, many operating costs, such as raw material cloth cost, transportation cost, outsourcing and labor cost, have increased, and some operators have sought diversified sales channels. Conservative operators continue to raise prices on the original price of products; neutral operators reduce profits and develop new products on the basis of keeping the original price unchanged; open operators develop in the direction of e-commerce on the basis of keeping the original price unchanged, and use cross-border e-commerce platform to display new products to bring sales for themselves.
