  • G60 Science & Technology Innovation Valley in Yiwu

  •     On the afternoon of April 2nd, media organizations of nine cities under the G60 Science & Technology Innovation Valley jointly visited the Yiwu Information & Optoelectronic High-tech Industrial Zone. From "Made in Yiwu" to " Intelligent Manufacturing of Yiwu", from the single "Small Commodity city" to the "City of Light", the transformation of Yiwu really astonished the 40 media organizations, including country level, provincial (municipal) and nine city-level media organizations.
        It is understood that, by taking advantage of the location, good industrial foundation and centralization of scientific research institutions and colleges in the Yangtze River Delta, the G60 Science & Technology Innovation Valley is an important platform for regional synergistic innovation and development.
        Yiwu Information & Optoelectronic High-tech Industrial Zone was established in December 2016 with the approval of Zhejiang provincial government. It was officially launched in February 2017 with a planned area of 147 square kilometers. 243 enterprises above state designated scale including 23 state-level high-tech enterprises are available in the Zone at present. An advantageous industrial cluster with semiconductor lighting as the leading industry and information optoelectronic and intelligent manufacturing as its characteristics has been formed. In recent years, Yiwu High-tech Zone has successively introduced more than 20 extra-large municipal and provincial projects with a total investment of over RMB 50 billion; it has introduced several colleges and universities, including the School of Modern Science and Technology under China Jiliang University, and the Belt and Road Institute under University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and has preliminarily completed the strategic layout of opto-electronics industry chain, photovoltaic industry chain, artificial intelligence industry chain and the talent chain of scientific research by colleges and universities.
