  • The First Foreign Government Ministry Office in Yiwu was Established

  •     On December 28th, 2018, the Yiwu Office of the Philippine Special Envoy for China Affairs was officially launched. This is the first foreign government ministry office in Yiwu and also the first office of the Philippine President's Special Envoy for China at the county level in China.
        The Philippines and China are facing each other across the sea, with close economic and trade relations. Yiwu is the bridgehead of economic and trade exchanges between the Philippines and China. According to statistics, from January to October 2018, Yiwu and the Philippines achieved a total import and export value of USD 681 million, ranking fifth in the foreign trade countries list of Yiwu.
        Since October, Chen Hongfeng, Director of Public Relations Department under the Office of the Philippine President's Special Envoy for China Affairs, together with his team, has visited Yiwu Business Bureau three times for efficient docking. On November 15th, the Office of the Philippine President's Special Envoy signed a friendly cooperation agreement with the Municipal Bureau of Commerce of Yiwu. In addition, the Yiwu office will also strive to establish the first global Philippine agency in China which provide one-stop services with a full chain for Philippine institutions and businessmen in China.
